A person called in a bomb threat on Tuesday morning at the Juvenile Probation Office located at 213 Market Street in Orange.

An employee reported receiving the call approximately 8:45 a.m. from an unknown male.

Staff was evacuated from the building as well as from Adult Probation.

“The threat was real,” Captain Robert Enmon of the Orange Police Department said. “We have questioned one person of interest but no arrests have been made.”

Electronic forensics are tracking down the phone number from which the call was placed.

Enmon added the person who placed the call may be an adult.

“There was no actual bomb,” Enmon said. “We called in the Port Arthur Bomb Squad and a Bomb dog was used. Nothing was found in the Adult or Juvenile probation buildings.”
