BRIDGE CITY — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals nailed down the third-place playoff berth out of District 22-4A with a convincing 65-45 victory over the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns Tuesday night at Cardinal Gym.

The Lady Cardinals finished 5-5 in district play while Hamshire-Fannett finished at 4-6.

The Lady Cardinals will face Lufkin Hudson in the bidistrict round next week.

Reyna Owens powered the BC arsenal with 18 points and snagged nine rebounds.

Kassidy Wilbur chimed in with nearly a triple double as she notched 16 points to go along with 11 rebounds, nine assists and three steals.

Madison Fischer added 10 points and eight boards.
