ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats wrapped up their regular season with a 51-31 victory over the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs at Bobcat Gym Tuesday night.

The Lady Bobcats wrapped up 22-4A play with a 7-3 record and will represent the district as the second-place team in the playoffs.

The Lady Bobcats will take on either Lufkin Hudson or Huntington in the bidistrict playoffs Monday at 6 p.m. at Woodville High School.

Faith Fregia paced the Lady Bobcats Tuesday night with 17 points and had three rebounds and a pair of steals.

Emmi Lummus posted eight points, seven assists and three steals. Paris Fregia had five points and four assists while Cameron Choate added five points and four boards.

The Lady Mustangs finished 22-4A play with a 0-10 mark.

 

Silsbee girls 78,LC-M 41

SILSBEE — The Silsbee Lady Tigers defeated the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears 78-41 in District 22-4A play Tuesday night.

AlyssaMcKellar led the Lady Bears (4-6 in district), scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Lady Bears finished fourth in district and will face 21-4A champion Diboll in the playoffs next week.

The BridgeCity Lady Cardinals (5-5 in district) defeated Hamshire-Fannett 65-45 Tuesday to earn the third-place spot.

 

BC boys 65, H-F 53

FANNETT — The Bridge City Cardinals clinched a playoff berth Tuesday night by downing the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns 65-53 on the road in District 22-4A play.

Post Dane Piper paced the Cardinals (14-10, 4-4) with 18 points. Hunter Wiegreffe filtered in 14 points and Zach Honeycutt added nine.

The Cardinals will play host to Orangefield Friday.
