Special to The Leader
The Orange County Christian Writer’s Guild held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 10. They welcomed a hometown guest speaker, and new author, Rhonda Powell.
Powell is the author of In My Father’s Land, a book that chronicles her experiences after dying twice on the operating table. She was undergoing brain surgery for a brain tumor when she suddenly found herself on a heavenly staircase. The experience was so intense that it left her wanting to be there again when she was finally brought back to life. Rhonda then dealt with twenty years of addiction to some very serious medication, but when God healed her from the need to take the twenty plus pills daily, she made a promise that she would write a book and tell people that there is life after death and that God is waiting for everyone up in heaven. For more about Rhonda’s story, you can get her book, In My Father’s Land, through Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, and Ingram Sparks.
In future news, Guild Publicity Director and author Sarah Johnson will be teaching a seminar on how to publish your book in eBook and audiobook formats. This free seminar is open to the public and will take place on February 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the City of Orange Public Library.
