Two injured at International Paper

At least two individuals were reported as injured with a caustic chemical at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday at International Paper in Orange.

Air Rescue, initially returning from New Orleans, was unable to reach the scene due to communication and radio issues.

One person suffered from burns on the neck and arm from a chemical not known at this time.

The second person reportedly suffering from inhalation.

Individuals are in route to Winnie to meet Herman Memorial Air Rescue due to Beaumont Air Rescue unable to fly at this time.

The area has been contained at this time.
