Bridge City hosting Cardinal Classic Wed-Thur

BRIDGE CITY — The Bridge City Cardinals will play host to the Cardinal Hoop Classic Wednesday and Thursday at both the high school and middle school gyms.
Eight teams will be in the field and there will be two pools.
Pool A will consist of Bridge City, Anahuac, Sabine Pass and Tarkington.
Pool B will be made up of Vidor, Port Neches-Groves, Orangefield and Evadale.
Games Wednesday at the high school gym includes Vidor vs. PN-G (9 a.m.), Bridge City vs. Anahuac (10:20 a.m.); Vidor vs. Evadale (11:40 a.m.) and Anahuac vs. Tarkington (1 p.m.).
Games at the middle school gym Wednesday will pit Orangefield vs. Evadale (9 a.m.); Tarkington vs. Sabine pass (10:20 a.m.); PN-G vs. Orangefield (11:40 a.m.); and Bridge City vs. Sabine Pass (1 p.m.).
Games Thursday in includes Vidor vs. Orangefield (9 a.m. HS), Bridge City vs. Tarkington (9 a.m. MS); PN-G vs. Evadale (10:20 a.m. HS) and Anahuac vs. Sabine Pass (10:20 a.m. MX).
The Pool A vs. Pool B fourth-place teams will play at 12:40 p.m. in the MS Gym.
The rest of the games will be at the HS Gym.
The two third-place teams from each pool will play at 12:40 p.m. The two-second-place teams in each pool will meet at 2 p.m. and the two first-place teams in each pool will play in the championship at 3:20 p.m.
The Little Cypress-Mauriceville boys and girls and the West Orange-Stark boys will compete in the East Chambers Tournament in Winnie Wednesday through Friday.
The LC-M boys will take on the WO-S boys at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the junior high gym. The LC-M boys will also face Hitchcock at 1:30 p.m. in the junior high gym while the WO-S boys will take on East Chambers at 3 p.m. in the high school gym.
The LC-M girls will face Buna at 10:30 a.m. in the junior high gym and will battle Huffman at 4:30 p.m. at the high school gym.
On Thursday, the LC-M boys will play Sam Rayburn at 9 a.m. in the high school gym and will take on East Chambers at 4:30 p.m. at the high school gym.
The WO-S boys will tangle with Sam Rayburn at 1:30 p.m. at the junior high gym and will meet Hitchcock at 6 p.m. in the junior high gym.
The LC-M girls will face Halletsville at 10:30 a.m. in the high school gym.
The Orangefield girls will be busy as well this week as they will be participating in the Aggieland Tournament in College Station.
