Bears slap Tatum at H-J Marathon

SOUR LAKE — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears notched a 68-54 victory over Tatum in their first game at the Hardin-Jefferson Marathon Thursday.

The Bears (8-2) were able to pull away with a big second-half, outscoring Tatum 41-26.

Guard Ayson Simmons paced the Bears with 18 points. Braden Bridges filtered in 16 points while Katon Brown claimed another double-double, scoring 11 points while grabbing 14 rebounds and he also had six assists.

Shay Rodgers led Tatum with a game-high 27 points.
