UPDATE: Man dies in forklift accident

UPDATE:

Michael Louis Dahse, 60, of Livingston, was killed instantly when the forks on the forklift fell striking his head while he was working under them at the Arlanxeo Performance Elastomers Orange Distribution Center warehouse according to Orange County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace Derry Dunn.

Dahse was performing maintenance or repairing the forklift alone at the time of the accident and was found by another worker Dunn said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the accident

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call at about 5:50 p.m. Monday about a forklift accident at the Arlanxeo Performance Elastomers Orange Distribution Center warehouse on Foreman Road in Orange according to Janois Straus of the sheriff’s office.

Precinct 2 Justice of Peace Derry Dunn pronounced the man dead on the scene of the accident Straus said.

The man was 60 years old.

Arlanxeo Performance Elastomers is a joint venture of LANXESS and Saudi Aramco according to the Arlanxeo website.
