Shangri La Gardens Announces 7th Annual Christmas Strolls

Shangri La Christmas Strolls open next week for family and friends of all ages to see spectacular dazzling lights, holiday displays, festive trees, and a life-size Nativity at the 7th Annual Shangri La Christmas Strolls. The event begins 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Spend the evening casually walking through Shangri La Botanical Gardens to enjoy this year’s festive holiday lights experience, lighted areas, community-decorated holiday trees and delight in the surprises that await you at the Children’s Garden, in the greenhouses and along the many pathways.

Visit Shangri La Gardens during daytime to see the community-decorated trees, enjoy shopping at The Garden Store and munch on delicious holiday treats at the Star and Crescent Moon Café.

Christmas Strolls are scheduled in the evening, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., on the following dates:
December 8, 9, 10
December 15, 16, 17
December 21, 22

December 28, 29, 30

Last stroll entry is at 8:30 p.m. for visitors to fully enjoy their experience

“Quick Entry” Tickets: Bypass entry lines by purchasing your full-price tickets online (beginning Dec 1). SCV Members get free entry, but a “Quick Entry” Ticket is still advised for faster processing. There is no discount on a quick entry ticket.

Full-price tickets are – Adults-$6; Seniors, Students, Children-$4; Stark Cultural Members are free.

Day of Stroll Tickets: Enjoy a discount on the day of the Stroll by opting to purchase tickets at the Admission Window and by bringing one non-perishable food item donation per person.

Discount tickets are (50% off original full-price) – Adults-$3; Seniors, Students, Children-$2; Stark Cultural Members are free.

Non-perishable food item donations will be accepted at any time throughout the month of December and will be gathered to benefit a local charity organization – Orange Christian Services.

A special invitation is extended to the area’s First Responder Community in appreciation for their sacrifice and commitment. First Responders and their immediate families are invited to attend Christmas Strolls as guests, free of charge. Upon arrival, First Responders can follow the signs for Members and present First Responder identification for the free admission.

Dreaming of a Green Christmas is a special event for all ages on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Children can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus from 10am-2pm, design holiday ornaments and engage in family holiday activities. Adults, sign-up now for the Make a Holiday Wreath Workshop. Use natural materials and greenery to create your own unique Christmas decoration.
