LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears notched a 75-61 victory over the Woodville Eagles at The Bear Cave Tuesday night.

The Bears got off to a hot start and led 40-24 at intermission.

Ayson Simmons powered the Bear attack with 19 points, six rebounds and six steals.

Braden Bridges chimed in with 16 points for the Bears while Katon Brown claimed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Christian Williams led the Eagles with a game-high 23 points while Ivan Lockhart added 11.

The Bears will compete in the Nederland Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
