Special to The Leader

Orangefield High School’s 2016-17 Interact President Christie Luong and member Peyton Beebe attended the Rotary District 5910/Region 5 Interact Mixer at Kelly High School in Beaumont, TX on November 17, 2016. Students from Interact Clubs in the area assembled candy rolls to distribute to local charities. “The event was a great learning experience for me.  I discovered Rotary’s Four Way Test.  I am grateful that I met new friends at the Mixer,” said freshman Beebe.

According to Rotary.org, “the Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:  Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

As the student extension of Rotary, Interact strives to live by the Four Way Test.  For more information on OHS Interact Club, see www.orangefieldisd.net.
