PRESS RELEASE — At approximately 8:40p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a one vehicle motorcycle crash on Hoo Hoo Road near Highway 62 in Orange County.

A Suzuki motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hoo Hoo Road.  The motorcyclist entered a curve at a high rate of speed and lost control of the motorcycle.  The vehicle skid off the roadway, struck a concrete culvert and landed in a ditch.

The driver, Devin Tyler, 25, of Orange, was ejected from his motorcycle and sustained serious head injuries.  Tyler was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital.  He was not wearing a helmet.

This is an ongoing crash investigation and there are no further details to be released.
