Special to The Leader

Orange County Christian Writer’s Guild will have their monthly meeting at the Brown Hearing Aid Center on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 6-7 p.m. We are a group of local Christian writers and authors who meet to encourage and learn from each other. All are welcome to attend. I am sending this reminder early so you can adjust your plans to attend and use the opportunity to invite someone else you know that has a passion for spreading the gospel to attend with you. At this month’s meeting we will have a Special Speaker, Dr. Charlie Starr.

Dr. Starr is the author of five books: two biblical studies, a children’s fantasy, a science fiction novel and a study on C. S. Lewis entitled Light: C. S. Lewis’s First and Final Short Story, which has released a never before published C. S. Lewis manuscript.

Dr. Starr has lectured on Lewis and Tolkien for two decades and has written dozens of articles, both popular and scholarly on C. S. Lewis as well as chapters for three anthology books on Lewis. He is the author of several short stories, which have been published in a variety of venues and has worked as a producer and writer on a number of festival quality short films.

This promises to be an informative and entertaining time and I hope to see you there.  PLEASE also remember that this falls on ELECTION DAY so don’t forget to Vote before coming to the meeting.
