Traffic alert for Capt. Ray’s funeral procession

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office would like to inform the public of possible heavy traffic and delays due to the funeral procession of Captain Tom Ray on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
A short funeral procession will begin approximately 8:30AM and will travel from Dorman’s Funeral Home in Orange, escorting Captain Ray, through Bridge City, to the Robert ‘A’ Bob Bowers Civic Center in Pt. Arthur, Texas.
Captain Ray will then be escorted from the Robert ‘A’ Bob Bowers Civic Center to his final resting place at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.
Expect side road closures and traffic delays starting at approximately 3:30 PM along the following route of the procession:
- From 9th Avenue @ Tx-73 E, traveling on Tx-73 to the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge, continuing onto Texas Avenue to W. Roundbunch/FM 1442.
- Left on W. Roundbunch/FM 1442 traveling to the I-10 South Service Road
- Right on the I-10 South Service Road to Old Hwy 90
- Right on Old Hwy 90 to Autumn Oaks Memorial Park
