WOJH takes 3
WOSMS football traveled to Hardin Jefferson Thursday night and returned home with 3 wins. The 8th grade B team started the night with a shut out of the hawks 30-0. Jasachin Harris started things off with a rushing touchdown and two point conversion, followed by a touchdown pass from Cristhofer Rodriguez to Matthew Wilridge, a rushing touchdown and two point conversion by Lucas Scott, and another two point conversion by Kaleb Istre. Jeremy Ruiz lead the Stallions on defense with a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by Rodriguez, and solid play from Malachi St. Julien and Christopher White. The 7th grade team got off to a slow start, but would finish the game winning 14-0. Jartayvon Craven connected with Jadon Jones for a touchdown pass followed up with a two point conversion from Ke’zayvier Richards. Defense was dominant all night with a blocked punt from Elijah Gales and a fumble recovered in the end zone for a touchdown by Quinton Walker. In the last game of the night the 8th grade A team beat HJ 26-8. Jerren Terrell lead the offense with a touchdown pass to Jalen Thompson and Patrick Mickey. Terrell would also rush for a TD and connect with Andre’ Thomas on a two point conversion. Artavious Smauel returned a kickoff for a touchdown late in the game to seal the deal for the Stallions. Tyrone Brown lead the defense along with great play from Floyd Mouton, Samuel and Clint Williams who recovered a fumble. The Stallions all improve to 2-0 in district and will host Mauriceville next Thursday with kickoff at 5:00pm.
