The McNeese State University men’s rodeo team placed third and the women’s team placed fourth at the recent Southwest Texas Junior College rodeo competition in Uvalde, Texas.

Garrett Jones, Devers, Texas, placed second in bull riding.

In the bareback riding competition, Colton Onyett, Rangely, Colo., finished second, and Sandro Ferretti, Verquieres, France, tied for third place.

Ryder Sanford, Sulphur, placed fourth in the saddle bronc competition; Jace Gilbert, Sulphur, placed fourth in tie down roping; and Gabe Soileau, Bunkie, placed fifth in steer wrestling.

Grace Anne Hanley, Welsh, placed second in barrel racing, while in goat tying, Aldyn Ashton, Sebring, Fla., finished in eighth place.
