PRESS RELEASE — On Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:55 am, officers with the City of Orange Police Department responded to the 2400 blk of S. Lutcher in reference to a body in the ditch.  Officers arrived and discovered a white female deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Gretta Danielle Franks, W/F/ 06-10-1987, Iowa, La.

Our investigation indicates Ms. Franks may have been struck by an unknown vehicle while walking on S. Lutcher during the night of October 7 or the morning of October 8.  We believe the vehicle may have stuck her with the front passenger side.

We are asking the public to assist us in identifying any person or persons that may have witnessed the incident or may have knowledge of any vehicle with right front damage or right mirror damage.
