Pinehurst Police Beat Sept. 1 – Sept. 15, 2016

The City of Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls from Sept. 1 – Sept. 15, 2016:
Thursday, Sept. 1
- Officer J. Trussell responded to an apartment complex located at 3000 MacArthur Drive in reference to a disturbance.
- A private property accident was reported in the 2400 block of MLK Jr. Drive.
Monday, Sept. 5
- Officer L. Roff responded to an apartment complex located at 3000 MacArthur Drive, in reference to warrant service. A 25 year old white male identified as Justin Loden was arrested for the following outstanding warrants: Forgery, Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marihuana.
- Officer L. Roff conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Strickland Drive. The driver was issued a citation for loud music. The passenger, a 21 year old white male identified as Austin Werth, was arrested for an outstanding burglary warrant.
Tuesday, Sept. 6
- Officer J. Trussell responded to an apartment complex located at 3000 MacArthur Drive in reference to Criminal Mischief.
- Officer J. Trussell received a report in reference to Credit Card Abuse.
- Officer K. Norton responded to a retail store in the 1500 block of Strickland Drive in reference to a theft. A 45-year-old white male identified as Timothy Williams was arrested for 6 outstanding warrants and transported to the Orange County Jail.
- Officer K. Norton conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Strickland Drive. A 64 year old white male identified as Leslie Keith Huckaby was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
- Chief Fred R. Hanauer III conducted a traffic stop on Harding Circle at 33rdStreet. A 31-year-old white male identified as Blake Simmons was placed under arrest for several traffic offenses.
Thursday, Sept. 8
- Officer J. Trussell responded to a non-profit business located in the 2100 block of 35thStreet in reference to a theft of donated items. A 39 year old white female identified as Heather Nicole Griffin-Martin was located, identified and charges are pending through the Pinehurst Municipal Court.
Friday, Sept. 9
- Officer L. Roff responded to a private property accident in the 2200 block of MacArthur Drive.
- Officer S. Ackley responded to the Parole Office located at 851 Dal Sasso Drive in reference to warrant service. Ashton Angelo, a 61 year old black male was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to the jail for booking.
Saturday, Sept. 10
- Officer S. Ackley responded to a domestic Disturbance in the 3400 block of W. Lark.
Sunday, Sept. 11
- Officer S, Ackley responded to a church in the 2900 block of 40thStreet in reference to Criminal Trespass. A white male received the trespass warning and left the premises.
Monday, Sept. 12
- Officer S. Ackley responded to a residence in the 3400 block of W. Martin in reference to a burglary.
- Officer K. Norton responded to a private property accident in the 2400 block of MLK Jr. Drive.
Wednesday, Sept. 14
- Officer K. Norton responded to a residence in the 2200 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to a burglary.
- Officer K. Norton responded to a residence in the 50thblock of Elma in reference to a occurrence of Fraud. The incident was unfounded.
Thursday, Sept. 15
- Officer Roff responded to the 2300 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to an intoxicated subject. Patrick Tally, a 54-year-old white male was subsequently placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
