Lucy Dale Sonier, 71, of Orange, Texas passed away at her home on Sunday September 18, 2016.

A celebration of her life was held on Thursday September 21, 2016 at the Pinehurst United Pentecostal Church with Reverend W.W. Smith officiating.

Dale was born July 5, 1945 in Orange, where she lived most of her life, to Virginia Freeman Duhon and Joseph Duhon. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always gave unconditional love. She will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her.

Dale is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia Duhon, son, Ronald Sonier, brother, Melvin “Beau” Duhon, sisters, Shirley Atkeson and Doris “Mickey” Chance.

Those left behind to cherish her memories is her loving husband of 54 years, John Sonier, two sons who she loved dearly, Jerry Sonier and wife Cindy of Silsbee and Gerald Sonier and wife Randa of Orange, four grandchildren who meant the world to her, Jerry “J.J.” Sonier, Jr. of Lumberton, Joshua Sonier and wife Zadie of Beaumont, Justin Sonier and wife Brittany of Lumberton, Brittany Brooke and husband Jonathan of Lawton, OK and four great grandchildren who she loved to spoil, Fiona Kylie Sonier, Chevy Blake Sonier, Kenson Marie Sonier, and Layla Lynn Sonier.
