Subvarsity football: BCJH results

Bridge City Middle School played Livingston Junior High Tuesday night coming away 2-1-1.

The 8th grade teams hosted the Lions. The 8th grade Red team won 21-12. Sam Carpenter had two touchdown runs of 8 and 10 yards. While Cody Howard added a 20 yard touchdown run. Oscar Carranza added three extra points. The defense was led by Kameron Bertrand (interception), Austin Richardson (interception), Drew Hollier, Brady Badgett, Slade Foreman, and Hunter Beall. They improve to 1-1 on the year.

The White team tied 8-8. The offense was led by Kason Guidry’s 15 yard touchdown run. The defense was led by Jude Danks, Nathaniel Foil, James McAbee, and Albert Martinez. They improve to 0-1-1 on the year.

The 7th grade teams traveled to Livingston. The 7th grade Red team won 35-0. The offensive line ((Isia Cantu, Hunter Bellanger, Justin Frederick, Brock Willey, Connor Ayres) did a great job opening up holes. Five different running backs scored led by Ethan Oceguera, Dorian Pruitt, Deegan King, JT Fielder, and Riley Williamson. Harrison Gauthier also had a nice 40 yard run. The backs also did a great job with down field blocks. The defense was led by Dorian Pruitt (interception), Cale Newsom, Riley Williamson, Mark Jones (fumble recovery), Kaden Honeycutt (2 sacks and a forced fumble). They improve to 2-0 on the year.

The 7th grade White team fell to Livingston 12-0. The offense was led by Cameron Collins, Jake Carlin, and Shayan Rahim. The defense was led by Jake Carlin, Jesus Romero, and Conner Newton. They fall to 1-1 on the year.

BCMS will play Huffman next Tuesday. The 7th grade will play their home opener, while the 8th grade travels to Huffman.
