HUNTSVLLE — The Littler Cypress-Mauriceville Bears Boys Cross Country Team had a great deal of success at the UIL Region III Preview Meet held at Kate-Barr-Ross Park in Huntsville Saturday including standout Eli Peveto winning another meet.

Fresh off his victory at the Cardinal Cross Country Classic at Claiborne Park last week, Peveto sizzled again this past Saturday.

Peveto captured first-place over the 5K course, running it in 17 minutes, 12.1 seconds. Awty International’s Nic Motta was a distant second with a time of 17:42.9.

Four Bears finished in the top 26 in what was a large field.

Following Peveto, Jackson Baeza earned 14^th with a 18:47.5 followed by teammates Rayce Piper (20^th, 19:03.8) and Blake Kresser (26^th, 19:16.0.)
