Celebrating 30 years of Don’t Mess With Texas

BEAUMONT – The Texas Department of Transportation is celebrating 30 years of Don’t Mess With Texas, and it’s inviting Southeast Texas to celebrate Friday, September 9, at the Travel Information Center (1708 IH 10 W, Orange) 2-4pm.

Activities will include:

  • Rope the Trash Cow
  • Grab the Bull by the Horns, Rope that Trash Can on Your Way By!
  • For the LOVE of TEXAS, Pick Up Your Trash! – (folding litter bags to fit in your pocket or purse)
  • Photo ops with celebrity cutouts, George Strait & Mathew McConaughey
  • Prize wheel
  • Skits about littering from the Big Thicket Outlaws
