The City of Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls from August 2- August 13, 2015:

 

Tuesday, Aug. 2

• Officer J. Trussell responded to the 3500 block of W. Park in reference to discharge of firearms.
• Officer J. Trussell responded to a business in the 2200 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to a theft.

Friday, Aug. 5

• Officer K. Norton responded to the Parole Office at 851 Dal Sasso in reference to warrant service. Michael Joseph Smith, 30, was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.
• Officer K. Norton responded to the Parole Office at 851 Dal Sasso in reference to warrant service. Don Melton Cross, 35, was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.

Saturday, Aug. 6

• Officer K. Norton responded to a hit and run incident that occurred at the intersection of E. Martin and Bayou Bend. The driver was later located due to the fact that his license plate was left at the scene. Charges are pending.

Sunday, Aug. 7

• Officer L. Roff responded to an apartment complex in the 3300 block of W. Park in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located and the driver, Kenneth Leroy Thomas, 31, was arrested for several outstanding warrants issued by the City of Pinehurst and City of Orange Municipal Courts and transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.

Monday, Aug. 8

• Officer J. Trussell responded to the 3000 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to a welfare concern.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

• Officer L. Roff stopped a suspicious white male walking in the 1700 block of Strickland Drive. The subject was identified as Roger Dale Owen, 30. He was found to have an outstanding warrant for Burglary of a Building. He was transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.
• Officer K. Norton received a report of a dog bite that occurred at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of W. Park.

Thursday, Aug. 11

• Officer S. Ackley conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of W. Martin. The driver, Veronica LaStrappe, 39, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Parent Contributing to Non Attendance.
• Officer S. Ackley responded to the 2100 block of 35^thStreet in reference to a possible burglary.

Saturday, Aug. 13

• Officer L. Roff responded to the 3000 block of Cardinal Drive in reference to a naked male walking in the area. Officer Roff located a Hispanic male, 32, walking completely nude in the roadway. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Orange County Jail for booking.
• Officer L. Roff conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Camelot. Oshaquie Williams-Foster, 22, was subsequently placed under arrest for several traffic Offenses.
