Bridge City businesses offer collection sites for Louisiana Flood victims

Farmers Insurance is helping Louisiana Flood victims with needed cleaning supplies.

Scot Shaffer of Farmers Insurance located at 440 Texas Ave. in Bridge City is a drop off location for such items as five-gallon buckets, gloves, bleach, masks, brooms, shovels, pry bars and box blades.

If one would like to make a financial contribution, one may donate via Paypal, jeepers4Jesus@gmail.com. Please note LA FLOOD 2016 in the memo so the funds are directed to the correct designation.

Stephamie Jeane of Complete Staffing, 1154 Texas Ave., in Bridge City, is collecting gift cards from Walmart, Target, VISA, etc. to be given to families in Baton Rouge. The cards will be used by flood victims to replace lost items such as clothing, school supplies and household necessities. Gift card of any amount will be accepted.

Deadline for the gift card donations is Noon Friday, Aug. 26.
