Village Voices Town Hall meeting scheduled for Thursday

Published 1:47 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2016

Special to The Leader

This coming Thursday we will be having our second session to create and begin implementation of processes that will protect our prosperity at the neighborhood community room 303 N. 8th street at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to come out especially those 40 and under.

Focus of our meeting: The lives of our children that are in the cradle and our parents that are sitting on the front porches. We will discuss ways to reduce the loss of life not just to gun violence but to treats of illiteracy, drugs, alcohol, prison, poverty, suicide and domestic violence just to name a few.

We will look to address the loss of life of our elderly that have been abandoned in health care facilities, children that are in CPS care and those who have lost their life to poor, low or no self-esteem. We will be looking to address the terrorism of social media defining who and what are children should be. Does all lives matter, yes they do. If we don’t embrace life as a matter (the subject of concern, feeling or action) a time will come when living will be relegated to matter (waste or discharge from a living organism as pus or feces).

If the life of our community matters to you, I humbly request your assistance in endorsing this proactive meeting. I do understand schedule conflicts. If you are not able to attend, I ask if you could send a representative. It’s going to take a unit to unify unification within our community. Let’s not only stand together, let’s step out together.
