Fried Fish Fundraiser

American Legion Post 49, 108 Green Ave. in Orange, will hold a Fried Fish plate lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The cost is $8. The meals consist of Fried Fish, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Green Beans, Bread and Dessert. Walk-ins are welcome and delivery is available. Call 409-886-1241 after noon on Wednesday, July 6 and before 9 a.m. Thursday, July 7 for orders and deliveries.

 

Walk & Talk to Good Health   

Come join us to walk and table about fitness and healthy eating. We will be moving inside after the walk to cook and prepare various fruits and vegetables.  You’ll receive recipes and prizes to take home to help with your preparation. Kids are welcomed also! Classes will be held on Thursdays on the following dates, July 7 and 14 at 8:30 a.m. Meet us at the Raymond Gould Community Center, 385 Clairborne Street in Vidor. Call 882-7010 to let us know you will be joining up.  Susan Garrison, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Better Living for Texans, Program Assistant will be conducting the classes.

 

Grace Lutheran Church Storytime
Weekly from 1-2 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning June 16, Grace Lutheran Church will be hosting a story time.  In lieu of Vacation Bible School, STORYTIME will last six weeks and could possibly be extended to eight.  We will read bible stories as well as some well-loved favorites, make a craft, sing, and have a light snack.  Please join us at 2300 Eddleman Rd. in Orange for some summer fun!
