WASHINGTON – Following the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) Office of Inspector General’s (IG) report detailing how a small number of VA employees in Houston manipulated records of appointments for veterans in an effort to hide long wait times, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) met with Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert McDonald yesterday in Washington to discuss how the VA intends to fix the problems in Houston and across Texas.  Sen. Cornyn requested that Sec. McDonald meet with him in a letter sent earlier this week.
