At approximately 7:30a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a multiple vehicle crash on SH 105 in Liberty County.  The crash occurred just east of Moss Hill.

Preliminary reports indicate that a white Ford F150 Pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SH 105.  For an unknown reason, the driver of the white Ford pickup truck crossed the center dividing line and side-swiped a pickup truck towing a trailer.  After striking the pickup truck, the Ford then struck a second pickup truck head-on.

DPS can confirm that the two passengers in the white Ford pickup were killed in the crash.  The driver of the white Ford pickup truck was transported to an area hospital in Liberty County with serious injuries.  At this time, the extent of injuries sustained by the occupants of the other two vehicles is unknown.

State Highway 105 between Batson and Moss Hill is closed.  The roadway will remain closed until the crash investigation is complete and the roadway is free of debris.  Motorists are urged to avoid this area and seek alternate travel routes.
