Wreck send teen to hospital

PRESS RELEASE — Orange County, TX- June 6, at approximately 3:34 p.m., Orange County DPS troopers responded to and investigated a two vehicle crash at the intersection of FM 105 and FM 1131. The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2002 Ford pickup was traveling northbound on FM 105 and attempted to turn left onto FM 1131 and was struck by a southbound 2006 Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer. The driver of the Ford was identified as Joseph Monroe Sanders, 16, from Vidor, TX. A passenger traveling with Sanders was identified as Lucretia Luella LaForge, 17, also from Vidor. LaForge was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont for treatment. Sanders’ was reportedly not injured as a result of the crash. The driver of the commercial vehicle was identified as Minh David Luu, 55, from Houston, TX. Luu was also not reported to be injured. This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
