Motorcycle Crash Leaves Two Seriously Injured on Interstate 10

PRESS RELEASE — At approximately 6:25 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety was contacted by Vidor Police Department to assist with a motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 at the FM 105 exit ramp in Orange County.  Once on scene, Orange County Troopers became the lead investigators.
A 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10.  The driver of the motorcycle took the FM 105 exit ramp.  For an unknown reason, the driver of the motorcycle slammed on his front brakes and lost control of the vehicle.  The motorcycle crashed into the concrete sidewall and rolled over several times before coming to rest.
The driver is a 34-year-old man from Vidor and the passenger is a 27-year-old female from Vidor.  Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.    Due to the extent of their injuries, their names will not be released until next of kin have been notified.  Both were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
At this time, the driver of the motorcycle, 34-year-old Brannon Lee Wooden of Vidor, is being treated at St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.  The passenger, 27-year-old Kadie Odom of Vidor, is listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth hospital.
The FM 105 exit ramp and two lanes of the access road were closed for more than an hour, but have since reopened.
