Stancoven presented Meritorous Service Medal

Major/Doctor Brian Stancoven, of Orange, was presented with the Meritorous Service Medal for his performance as Officer-in-charge of Dental Clinic #3 at Fort Bliss, Texas.
Stancoven was cited for his “leadership, expertise, professionalism and selfless service” which were instrumental to the success of the organization’s mission.
Stancoven led the 38-chair clinic from June 2011 until present and is transferring to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
He is a 1995 graduate from WO-S. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1999. He attended Dental School in San Antonio and graduated from the U.S. Army Periodontology Residency program at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Stancoven holds a Master in Oral Pathology from the Medical College of Georgia and is a fellow of the American College of Periodontology.
At Schofield Barracks Dental Clinic, Stancoven will be the Periodontology Mentor to the two-year Dental Residency Program the Army holds in Hawaii.
Stancoven is the son of Bonni and George Stancoven of Orange.
He is married to Leslie Reimer, of Little Cypress, and has three daughters, Stella, Elka and Dana.
