The City of Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau has scheduled a fun weekend of Drag boat racing, children’s activities, food, crafts and fun Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22. The event will be held at the City of Orange Boat Ramp. Saturday evening at 7:00 pm Kree Harrison will perform at the Riverfront Pavilion. Harrison was a 2013 American Idol finalist who grew up in Woodville.

Thank you to Brandy Judice and the City of Orange for bringing this event to our fair city. Judice spoke recently at Rotary International at the Sunset Grove Country Club in Orange. According to Judice the CVB will be hosting more family fun and activities in the months to come.

If you live in Orange County Precinct 1, listen up. You need to vote in the primary runoff election.   The Primary Election was held several months ago. Of five candidates running to represent the residents of Precinct One, two emerged at the top. They are Bobby Manshack and Johnny Trahan. One of them will be our next County Commissioner.

The boat races, the concert and voting are all free.
