Special to The Leader

The Guild is becoming professional. I you haven’t attended a meeting in a while, now is the time to come back and visit.

The group met, and is in the process of electing new positions; such as a Publicity Director, who will be handling all advertising, speakers, and teachers and will be writing this article each month. They will be creating a Facebook Page, sending out a newsletter with all our published authors listed, and their books, tips on writing, publishing, etc.

They have also opened the position of one Board Member, and will be filling that position shortly. A new position was created for a Resource Director. All resources will be catalogued so members can access this information in the event they need a publisher, instructions on how to do an ebook, etc.

One member volunteered to write a mission statement with an appropriate scripture, and we will be using that on all the publications.

If you’d like to visit or become a member of the Guild, it is free and open to the public. The Guild meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Brown Hearing Center, 105 Camellia, Orange behind the Dairy Queen. If you have any questions please email Karen Stevens at Karen.stevens@coldwellbanker.com or call 409 988-2588.
