The Foundation for Southeast Texas will award a total of $134,985 to 77 nonprofit organizations in Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Art Museum of Southeast Texas located at 500 Main Street in Beaumont.

 The grants range from $500 to $5000.  The Foundation received valid applications from 98 organizations. The Grants Committee reviewed each application and made recommendations to the Board of Directors for final approval.

In its sixteenth year of awarding competitive grants, the Foundation is pleased to make these grants to deserving local charities.  Grants will be awarded to organizations representing the arts, culture, preservation, health, social services, youth, elderly and civic affairs and in all communities within the three counties.  A list of recipients will be available at the ceremony.
