Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative has restored power to 5,300
As of 8 A.M. this morning, Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative has restored power to approximately 5,300 meters. The storm that moved through our area yesterday morning left more than 6,000 members without power. JNEC and contractor crews are continuing to work to restore power to the remaining 700 meters. At this time, we plan to have power available to all meters affected by yesterday’s storm by the end of the day.
Please call Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative at 1-800-231-9340 to report an outage. Due to a high call volume, you may experience a delay in reaching a representative.
We would like to remind the public that if you encounter a downed power line, please stay away and contact JNEC.
All coop employees are working diligently to address your problems and restore power as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.
