As of 8 A.M. this morning, Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative has restored power to approximately 5,300 meters. The storm that moved through our area yesterday morning left more than 6,000 members without power. JNEC and contractor crews are continuing to work to restore power to the remaining 700 meters. At this time, we plan to have power available to all meters affected by yesterday’s storm by the end of the day.
