PRESS RELEASE — On April 19, 2016 at approximately 5:13 a.m. the Lake Charles Police Department was dispatched to the 2800 block of 4^th Avenue in reference to a male subject on the ground, unresponsive. Upon the arrival of the Lake Charles Police Department and Acadian Ambulance they located a deceased man on the ground.

Investigation revealed that the subject had been a patient at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for unknown medical issues. On this date the subject left the hospital Against Medical Opinion. After leaving the hospital, the subject passed away at that location.   No foul play is suspected.

The Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s office was contacted and assisted in the investigation.
