Cardinals stroll past Bobcats

ORANGEFIELD — The Bridge City Cardinals improved their District 24-4A mark to 4-1 with a 9-2 victory over the Orangefield Bobcats Friday night.

Bridge City outhit the Bobcats (2-3 in district) 8-5 and the Bobcats also had five errors.

Tanner Doiron got the win on the BC mound. He allowed five hits while striking out 10.

Tod McDowell led BC at theplate, going 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs batted in. Skylar Tibodaux was 2-for-3 with a double while Camden Dubois went 2-for-4 and Austin Fitts added a double.

Brett Fregia was 2-for-3 for the Bobcats. Mason Gonzales was 1-for-3 and scored. Ryan Deutsch was 1-for-2 and Andrew Hoyland was 1-for-3.

Josh Chandler drove in a run for the Bobcats while Johnny Armstrong scored a run.

Orangefield will host LC-M Tuesday.
