Bobcats roll past H-F; Bears fall to H-J

FANNETT — The Orangefield Bobcats evened their District 24-4A mark to 2-2 Tuesday night by going on the road and snagging a 11-2 victory over the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns.Dylan Anthony got the win on the hill for the Bobcats and also went 1-for-4 at the plate with a double, three runs batted in and a run scored.

Brett Fregia went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Wyatt Willoughby was 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Andrew Hoyland had a double and scored four times. Payton Lathrop was 1-for-3 and scored twice. Johnny Armstrong and Mason Gonzales both went 1-for-4 and drove in a run apiece. Josh Chandler was 1-for-3 while Ryan Deutsch and Colten Peveto each scored a run.

Anthony limited the Longhorns to just five hits. H-F had six errors.

The Bobcats will visit Bridge City Friday.

 

H-J 13, LC-M 7

LITTLE CYPRESS – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears belted three home runs Tuesday night but it was not enough to erase a 9-1 deficit as they fell to the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks 13-7 in District 24-4A action at Gibbens Field.

The Bears (1-3 in district) got a grand slam home run from Mitchell Lee and homers from Drake Trawhon and Grant White in the tough loss.

Lee and Trawhon both added singles while Vinny Hale singled twice and Truman Franklin had a single.

The Bears will host West Orange-Stark Friday.
