Samaritan’s Purse seeking volunteers, offering assistance for flood victims

Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization, is currently seeking volunteers to assist our team with personal property recovery and packing, mucking and gutting homes, and sanitizing with Shockwave. Volunteers meet Monday through Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Mauriceville Assembly of God located at 11477 Texas Highway 12, Mauriceville, Texas for a brief orientation and team assignment. Pre-registration is not required but is extremely helpful. To do so, log onto: spvolunteernetwork.org and click day volunteer or overnight if you wish to spend the night with us. Gate City Guild #42 offering lunches, clothing on Saturday

Members of the Gate City Guild #42 will offer sack lunches and give away clothing for flood victims from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of First Church of God located 1911 16th Street in Orange.
