Man released after serving time for Failure to Register/Notify as a Sex Offender now charged with failure to carry identification

On March 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Louisiana Sex Offender Ellis Noah Bartie, 33 years of age, was arrested at the Lake Charles Police Department Detectives Division. Ellis Bartie is required to register with law enforcement 3 business days from release with a valid sex offender ID. Bartie had no Identification on his person. Ellis Bartie was released from custody on February 25, 2016 after serving time from a March 2015 arrest for Failure to Register/Notify as a Sex Offender.

Ellis Bartie was convicted in 2001 for Molestation of a Juvenile. His victim was a 6 year old female.

Ellis Bartie was also convicted in 2010 for Failure to Register/Notify as a Sex Offender. Ellis Bartie is a Tier 2 Sex Offender requiring him to register for 25 years. An arrest warrant was presented to Judge Robert Wyatt who placed a bond of $10,000 on the warrant. Ellis Bartie is currently incarcerated at the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
