Lady Hawks nip Lady Mustangs

WEST ORANGE — The West Orange-Stark lady Mustangs lost a tough one in District 24-4A action at Mustang Gym Tuesday night, falling to the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks 47-46.

The Lady Mustangs (2-7 in district), had a tough time containing H-J freshman Kesha Broussard, who fired in 38 points and converted 13-of-20 free-throws as the Lady Hawks moved to 5-3 in district play.

Standout forward Eriel Jordan led the Lady Mustangs with 18 points.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears fell to 5-4 in district play after dropping a tight 55-53 decision on the road at Hamshire-Fannett (3-5).

The Lady Bears will travel to Bridge City Friday.
