Bobcats edge out Cardinals, 39-37

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Bobcats captured their second straight District 24-4A win Tuesday night by downing Orange County rival Bridge City 39-37 at Cardinal Gym.
Payton Lathrop paced the Bobcats (2-3 in district) with 13 points while Alex Catt scored six points and Mason Gonzales added five.
Post Hunter Wiegreffe led the Cardinals (2-3 in district) with 10 points while Dane Piper contributed seven.
Orangefield will visit LC-M Friday while Bridge City travels to Hamshire-Fannett.
