Crash on Highway 62 Leaves Two Seriously Injured

At approximately 6:20am, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a two vehicle crash on Highway 62 near Cohenour Road in Orange County.
A 2015 Dodge pickup truck towing a trailer was traveling northbound on Highway 62. The driver of the Dodge truck slowed to make a left turn onto Cohenour Road and was struck from behind by a GMC pickup truck.
The driver of the GMC, Jarrod Seago (30) of Orange, Texas, was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious leg injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, Esteban Medina (77) of Louisiana, was not injured in this crash. However, Esteban Medina was injured in a separate crash at the scene. After being struck from behind by the GMC truck, Medina got out of his vehicle to direct traffic and was struck by a Ford pickup truck traveling southbound on Highway 62. Esteban Medina was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The 53-year-old driver of the Ford pickup truck that struck Medina was not injured.
The two separate crash are still under investigation.
