Groves man injured in one car wreck

At approximately 11:50 a.m. Sunday, there was a one vehicle crash on State Highway 62 near Farm to Market Road 105 in Orange County.
A 2006 Toyota pickup truck was traveling southbound onState Highway 62.  The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway.  As the vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right, the side of the pickup truck clipped a utility pole.  The impact with the utility pole caused the vehicle to spin into a building and flip over onto its top.
The driver of the vehicle, Stanley Brumfield, 79, of Groves, was trapped inside the vehicle for several minutes before being removed by emergency personnel.  He was transported by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth hospital.  Brumfield sustained several broken bones, but is expected to recover.
This crash is still under investigation, but Troopers suspect that speed contributed to this crash.
