PINEHURST — The newly formed Optimist Village Resident Council held a raffle, the council’s first major project. The grand prize was a $50 gift certificate to Robert’s Steakhouse located at 3720 West Park Ave. in Orange.

The raffle drawing was held at the Resident Council’s October General meeting before many enthusiastic members. Honoring the meeting was our Special Guest, Pastor Matthew Chandler of Life Church, 3212 Concord in Orange, who drew the winning ticket.

The council extends their congratulations to Christal Jeanise of Deweyville on her win of a fabulous dinner at Robert’s Steak House. Bon Appetite, Christal.

The Resident Council expressed their appreciation to those persons in Orange and surrounding areas for their participation in our project through the purchasing of tickets. The council’s upcoming events include a Thanksgiving Food Drive and a Christmas Toy Drive.
