Lady Cats, Bears notch 24-4A net wins

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats inched closer to a playoff berth by rolling past the Hardin-Jefferson lady Hawks 25-15, 25-17, 25-6 Tuesday night in District 24-4A play.

The win pushes the Lady Bobcats to 6-5 in 24-4A play and they will close out the regular season next Tuesday at home against Hamshire-Fannett.

Sabryn Crain notched 14 kills, five digs and two aces for the Lady Bobcats.

Julianne McManus claimed 10 kills, five digs and four aces. Rebekah Newell contributed seven kills and four blocks while Ashlyn Turley set up the offense well with 29 assists.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears improved to 6-4 in 24-4A play with a 25-21, 30-28, 25-17 win over the Bridge City Lady Cardinals, who dropped to 3-7 in district play.

LC-M will host first-place Silsbee Friday while Bridge City will host Hardin-Jefferson.
