Stewart speaks on diabolical botanicals

Best-selling author, Amy Stewart, provided an incredible evening of laughter and mayhem, without the risk of pain, poisoning, dismemberment or death, as she talked about Wicked Plants and other diabolical botanicals to an audience gathered at the Stark Museum of Art Education Building at 7 p.m. on Thursday. A reception and book-signing at the Stark Museum of Art followed the talk.
The newest exhibition at the Stark Museum of Art, Wicked Plants: The Exhibit was inspired by Amy Stewart’s 2009 New York Times Bestseller, Wicked Plants: The Week that Killed Lincoln’s Mother & Other Botanical Atrocities.
Amy Stewart is the author of seven books. Her latest, Girl Waits With Gun, is a novel based on a true story. She’s written six nonfiction books and the perils and pleasures of the natural worlds including four New York Times bestsellers: The Drunken Botanist, Wicked Bugs, Wicked Plants and Flower Confidential. Amy’s books have been translated into twelve languages and she is the recipient of the American Horticulture Society’s Book Award.
Amy travels the country as a highly sought-after public speaker whose spirited lectures have inspired and entertained audiences everywhere.
