FOX Sports Southwest in town for DQ Game of the Week with WO-S-Newton

The Emmy Award-winning Dairy Queen Big Game of the Week segment will feature the West Orange-Stark-Newton football game to be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hooks Stadium.

FOX Sports Southwest reporter Neil Beasley and the production team will travel to the DQ Big Game of the Week in style in the FOX Sports Southwest High School Express.

The 48-foot luxury promotional bus, wrapped in full-scale images of the FOX Sports Southwest crew and high school action photos, will roll into town and serve as the backdrop at pep rallies and other fan activities.

Beasley and the crew will be on-site for the WO-S vs. Newton matchup.

The segment will air on High School Scoreboard Live (Friday, Oct. 2, midnight and replayed Saturday, Oct. 3, 9 a.m.)

DQ Big Game of the Week chronicles the day’s activities surrounding the game, from pep rallies to pregame gatherings at the local Dairy Queen. The special segment takes viewers on campus, around the community and inside the locker room for an intimate look at high school football in Texas.

The crew will be at the Dairy Queen on Strickland Drive near 4 p.m. Friday after being at the Mustang pep rally early in the afternoon. They were at the Dairy Queen in Newton Thursday.

High School Scoreboard Live, FOX Sports Southwest’s , one-hour scoreboard show, in its 18th season, offers a recap of high school football action across Texas.

Anchors Ric Renner and Craig Way offer scores and highlights from the opening week through the championship games in December.

In addition to highlights, the show offers game reports from across the state and a recap of the DQ Big Game of the Week.
