While investigating a possible burglary, Orange Police Department officer discovered fire at a residence at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday at the 400 block of Knox in Orange.

A suspicious person was spotted at the location but left the scene prior to police arrival. The officer observed smoke and flames from inside the structure prompting a call to the Orange Fire Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
