WEST ORANGE — The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs ran their District 24-4A mark to 2-1 Friday evening by downing the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Aaliyah Teel led the Lady Mustangs with 39 digs, 13 kills, six aces and five blocks.

Elecia Barlow contributed four kills, four digs and three aces.

Olivia Basinger set up the offense well with 18 assists and had eight digs. Phillis Jones had 18 digs. Taylor Colbert chimed in with 13 digs and Natiyah Brumfield had 13 assists.

In other 24-4A action Friday, Little Cypress-Mauriceville slipped to 1-2 in district, falling to Hamshire-Fannett 24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 15-13.

Orangefield also slipped to 1-2 in district play by falling to Silsbee 26-24, 26-24, 25-16.

In non-district action, the Bridge City Lady Cardinals, who are 2-0 in district play, stepped out of district and defeated Jasper 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.
